Online synchronous course

SASIC 1’s outcome is to facilitate in-depth knowledge and understanding of the latest research, neuroscience, and typical development which underlies ASI®. This is a five-day course, open to occupational therapists and certain other professionals who are registered with the HPCSA (please email for further information).

The SASIC 1 course is designed to help the course participant to become conversant in theory and research related to Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI®). The relationship of ASI® to neurobiological principles and occupation is discussed. Emphasis is placed on typical development first, before introducing an overview of atypical patterns of development and the impact of sensory integration disorders and difficulties on the occupations of everyday life.
