Reflection Time
SAISI ExpoSense 2025: Sensory Garden
Held on 21 June 2025 at Mosaic Church, Johannesburg
SAISI ExpoSense 2025 was a vibrant, joy-filled celebration of all things sensory, built around the inclusive and imaginative theme of a “Sensory Garden.” From engaging workshops and inspiring talks to hands-on activities and heartfelt connections, the day was a true sensory feast!
Meet Super Sentonio: The Sensory Superhero
Leading the way through this immersive day was none other than Super Sentonio—our SAISI superhero with a mission to make sensory experiences safe, playful, and powerful for all. From tiny toddlers to seasoned therapists, Super Sentonio reminded us all that sensory integration is for everyone.
“Sense-able Talks” that Connected Hearts and Minds
Our much-anticipated “Sense-able Talks” brought together therapists, parents, and educators in meaningful dialogue. Topics ranged from understanding sensory profiles to calming big feelings and busting myths about sensory integration. The workshops were both practical and profound.
From “Planting the Seeds” to “Weeding Out the Myths”—our workshop lineup had something for every curious mind.
Opportunity for growth and connection
Innovation on Display: PDTS
The Product Development Technology Station (PDTS) wowed audiences with their cutting-edge concepts and practical solutions. Their special talk and product display showcased how technology and creativity can come together to support sensory integration in powerful ways.
Angel Paws: A Dose of Unconditional Love
One of the day’s gentlest highlights came with wagging tails and warm hearts. The therapy dogs from Angel Paws made their rounds, offering gentle support and comfort to attendees of all ages.
Special Showcases: Movement, Mess & Magic
- Twisted Cirque had jaws dropping with their stunning aerial classes—a powerful visual of how movement supports sensory development.
- Joyful Senses took sensory exploration to the next level with an incredible messy play zone, where children could dig, mix, and create with colourful textures and tools.
